Atlanta officials confirms cyberattack on city servers
As per recent news, City of Atlanta Confirmed that its under cyberattack
“The City of Atlanta is currently experiencing outages on various customer-facing applications, including some that customers may use to pay bills or access court-related information. Attacked systems involved as confirmed from officials are :
- City payment systems on lockdown & perpetrators are asking for a ransom.
- Various internal and customer facing applications, including some applications that customers use to pay bills or access court-related information. sources

Incident Response/ Remediation till now:
- Atlanta Information Management team is working diligently with support from Microsoft to resolve the issue
- The FBI has been called in to investigate the incident. According to the FBI, the bureau is aware of the situation and is “coordinating with the city of Atlanta to determine what happened.”
- Officials also said Thursday afternoon they are working with the FBI, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Cisco cybersecurity officials and Microsoft to determine what information has been accessed and how to resolve the situation
